If you are new to mining the thoughts of setting up your computer or a rig can be intimidating at first. The good news, however is that its actually pretty straightforward, and if you have a half decent PC it can be quite profitable and rewarding to mine your own crypto.

But rather that use a 3rd party app like Nicehash, which takes a cut of your profits we recommend members should mine their coins on mining pools.

We have created a pre set up file to download and start mining Ravencoin [RVN] straight away direct on FLYPOOL’S Ravencoin Pool, with minimal setup.

You’ll need a 4GB+ GPU and a RVN address to mine RVN. All you need to do is enter your Ravencoin payment address in the settings.

This Tutorial will work for both Nvidia and AMD GPUs.

So, What do I do?

Download Bitronix NBMiner Software

The files and compressed in .rar format, so you will need to unpack them with winrar. If you dont already have the winrar, you can download it HERE, free.

Once unpacked you will find a folder with a number of files inside.

Open the folder and right click the “Start Mining” folder and select edit. If it asks which program you want to use use notepad, or a text editor.

Inside you will see the following line.

nbminer -a kawpow -o stratum-ravencoin.flypool.org:3333 -u RP986JjEUzbxhdYeK8pAYjUJoLMJqg4xWP

The last section of this code is your Ravencoin Address. Edit it to your own address, save and close the notepad.

Next, left click the “Start Mining” file and NBMiner will open a CMD window and start mining.

The mining pool used for this tutorial is Flypool. I am not affiliated with them in any way, its just my own personal preference. Should you wish to change this you can edit the Start Mining file to the credentials of your choice.

To check its working go to https://ravencoin.flypool.org/ and enter your Ravencoin address. If it has worked correctly you should be able to see your miner stats online.

*Note, it can take up 60 minutes for new miner to show on the pool stats.
