Premier League football club Watford F.C have signed a new sponsorship deal with crypto betting firm Stake.com.

It has been reported that the sponsorship money has been paid in cryptocurrency although Watford FC have not disclosed the amount or which cryptocurrency was used. It is however expected to be BTC.

Watford FC are no strangers to cryptocurrency, having previously been sponsored by another crypto betting company, Sportsbet.io and having Bitcoin logo’s on previous years kits.

Cryptocurrency companies are now sponsoring the worlds biggest events, including the English Premier League, Formula 1 and UFC, which is seen as a sign of Crypto going mainstream.
